DESCRIPTION
Secret Hitler is a dramatic game of political intrigue and betrayal that takes place in Germany in the 1930s. Each player is randomly and secretly assigned to be a liberal or a fascist, and a player is secret Hitler. The fascists coordinate to sow distrust and install their composure chief; Liberals must find and stop the secret Hitler before it is too late. The liberal team still has a majority.
At the start of the game, the players turn their eyes, and the fascists reveal each other. Secret Hitler keeps his eyes closed, but puts his thumb up so that the fascists can see who he is. The fascists learn who is Hitler, but Hitler does not know who his fascist colleagues are, and the Liberals do not know whoever he is.
Each round, the players elect a president and a chancellor who will work together to promulgate a law from a random bridge. If the government adopts a fascist law, players must try to determine whether they have been betrayed or simply unlucky. Secret Hitler also has government powers that come into play that fascism advances. The fascists will use these powers to create chaos unless the liberals can get the nation out of the edge of the war.
The liberal team’s goal is to adopt five liberal policies or to assassinate secret Hitler. The objective of the fascist team is to spend six fascist policies or elect the Secret Hitler Chancellor after three fascist policies have passed.
