DESCRIPTION

The construction of the Saint-Basile cathedral advances at a sustained pace. The time has come to look for the best specialists in each guild and apply their skills and knowledge to transform this monument into something that will even surprise the Tsar itself. It is necessary to send entrepreneurs to the borders of Russia to be able to stand out from the competition and win the victory.

Contractors is the first extension of The Red Cathedral, the successful game of Shei Santos and Isra Cendrero in which the players build the Saint-Basile Cathedral of Moscow and compete to make the most memorable contribution and gain the favor of the TSAR. The expansion is also illustrated by Pedro Soto and Chema Román, two artists inspired by the work of Ivan Bilbin, the Russian artist renowned for his majestic representation of Slavic folklore in his works. The Red Cathedral is distinguished among recent games by its original Rondel mechanism, winning the hearts of thousands of players around the world.

The extension is delivered in a box that contains almost as much content as the original game and takes the experience in another dimension. In contractors, we find 10 new guilds which can be combined with those of the basic game, 6 additional plan cards and a new card for solo mode. Many of these new guilds use the entrepreneurs module, which adds, among other things, a new table containing a map of Russia. We will send our entrepreneurs throughout Russia to recruit the talent of the best specialists and craftsmen in the country to help the construction of the cathedral.

As in the original game, each of these guilds contains 3 different cards, one by guild can be included in the game, which means that contractors offers 30 new different ways to play the Red Cathedral. And among the other strengths, there is a black dice which can be used alongside the 5 existing dice used to obtain resources, diamonds which serve as a generic resource form and entrepreneurs, who are cosaque meeples who incorporate a worker's placement element in the game.
