Picante (Multilingual)

Picante is a card game like no other. Players will try to collect as many cards as possible while avoiding cards of a colour chosen in advance by each player, known as their “picante” colour! In this game, any card of a colour other than the first card played to the trick is considered a trump. Players will sweat while playing Picante! At the beginning of each round, choose one card from all those dealt to you and place it in front of you, visible to everyone. This is your Picante colour. You will lose as many points as the face value of all cards of this colour that you collect during the round... starting with the first card you chose! Then the fun begins! The first player plays a card of their choice. Any card of another colour is considered a trump and wins the trick. If several trumps are played, the highest one wins. The 0 is never a trump. It’s up to you to choose when to collect cards that will earn you 1 point each, and when to avoid your Picante colour, which will cost you dearly! Picante is a very subtle game, and it’s easy to be caught out by the other players, who will be sure to make you savour as many cards of your Picante colour as possible.
