Norsewind (English)

The year is 793, and the coast of Northumbria is on fire. The Lindisfarne attack was only the first strike; other looters will follow. As rulers of Wessex, Mercia, Northumbria and East Anglia, you must prepare your kingdom for the approaching storm. Fortify your defenses and expand your kingdoms with new cities; but be careful, the more you develop, the more you attract Vikings. Can you become the strongest kingdom, ready to resist the Viking onslaught, or will your lands fall to fire and steel? The fate of Anglo-Saxon England rests in your hands.

Norsewind is a board-building game. Each turn, you draw a card and add it to your expanding kingdom, i.e. your tableau. Place it wisely to earn rewards. Gather helpful followers and upgrade your castles, because the Vikings are coming, and they're not here to make friends! At the end of the game, you score points for each row on your board, but only if your defense is greater than the power of the Viking attack.
