Sangrevores are a new type of enemy race for Nemesis: Retaliation. This time there is no queen, but a powerful "king", an ancient being awakened from a long sleep. Scavengers have found a mysterious-looking "capsule" made of non-human bones piled up as if several beings had created this tomb from their own bodies. She was quickly transported to the nearest human base for further examination. This expansion introduces a whole new mechanic that can radically change the semi-co-op experience. During contact with the King or Bloodwraiths, your character can convert! With certain attacks, you will get special infection cards (added next to your special objective, face down) that only you will see. Most of the time they are neutral, but sometimes they can turn you into Hemodyne and change your objective. The contamination maps change. Instead of a standard Contamination card that will take up a slot, you'll get a unique ability representing your mutating character. This will only happen upon contact with the Crimson Despot or Blood Spectres.
These cards will allow players to increase negative interactions, but only if they want to. But combined with the ability to be transformed, they will add new layers of paranoia to the game
