Napoleon's Eagles games are entirely card-based (no dice, no pawns, no maps), allowing players to recreate the greatest battles of the era in one evening.
Napoleon’s Eagles: The Hundred Days is the second game from designer Christopher Moeller in a series aiming to cover all the major battles of the Napoleonic era. After Napoleon's Eagles: Storm in the East, The Hundred Days covers Emperor Napoleon's Belgian campaign in 1815: four battles which culminated in one of the most famous conflicts in history: Waterloo.
There we find the last four battles of the Napoleonic era: Quatre Bras and Ligny (June 16, 1815), and Waterloo and Wavre (June 18, 1815). Two campaign games allow you to play the battles of the 16th and 18th centuries together, as well as a grand campaign that combines all four battles.
Although several scenarios are presented in the game, each with their own rules and special victory conditions, most battles are won by inflicting nine demoralizations on the opposing army, before they do the same to you. Combat is back and forth, using specially designed decks of cards. The combat is simple, quick and direct, but has several subtleties that you will discover during the game. The combat units, displaying magnificent period works, represent infantry and cavalry formations, massive artillery formations, as well as leaders operating at the highest levels (Wing and Army command).
