DESCRIPTION

Moonrakers is a shipbuilding game, temporary alliances and clever negotiations in the distant future. The players form a band of mercenaries, but while they are united in the name, the real alliances are fragile as the players are in front of each other in the quest to become the new leader of the Moonrakers.

Moonrakers is a deck construction game in which players choose contracts to try alone or with allies in order to obtain prestige and credits. After negotiating the terms with the allies, the players use their action cards decks to play propellants, shields, weapons, reactors and crew in order to fulfill the requirements of each contract. Each type of action card has additional effects such as additional actions, draw additional cards and protect players from the dangers encountered during the attempted contract.

Players create powerful bridges and gain special capacity by improving their ships and recruiting crew members. This helps them to perform more difficult and more rewarding contracts on their own, allowing them to keep more prestige and credits for themselves.

The Allies negotiate who will receive prestige, credits and the risk of danger of contracts, but if you do not make your sufficiently attractive offers, players can be tempted to betray you! The first player at 10 Prestige wins, but be careful because the dangers encountered on contracts reduce your prestige!
