What would happen if ...
... The guardians of the elven rings had used their rings of power to challenge the power of the Lord of Darkness?
... The Balrog had risen from Moria to sow the fire and the fury on the lands of the free peoples?
... The Elrond Council had decided differently concerning the ring community?
With Lords of Middle -earth, the first extension of the Board The War of the Ring, players can explore these possibilities, as well as many others, to create new game opportunities and new strategies.
Important personalities, previously presented in the game only via event cards, are represented by specific figures and rules. The new characters include Elrond, Galadriel, Sméagol, Gothmog and the powerful Balrog de la Moria, as well as alternative versions of Gandalf, the sorcier king and the mouth of Sauron.
New special action dice are included: the guards of the elven ring for the player of the free peoples and the lower dice for the shadow player. New versions of all the companions of the ring community are also included, to play the optional rules of the "Fondcombe Council".
As a bonus, figurines for Aragorn and Gandalf Le Blanc are provided, accessories of the game that fans were looking forward to!
