Inventors of the southern tiger takes place at the peak of the Abbasid caliphate, around 850 AD. In recent decades, Baghdad has become the home of thousands of mathematicians, astronomers, chemists and doctors. As an inspired innovators, players are impatient to develop machines and inventions to impress their peers. Will your ingenious devices do the house of wisdom, or are they intended for dust and oblivion?
The goal of inventors of the southern tiger is to be the player with the most victory points (VP) at the end of the game. The points are mainly won by inventing, building, testing and publishing devices or inventions. Players can also score points by forming their craftsmen, developing their workshops, looking for and influencing the 3 scientific guilds.
