Sharks and Reefs dives even further into the underwater ecosystem of Finspan. This expansion introduces the magnificent habitats of coral reefs to your Ocean board as well as a greater number of sharks that possess fearsome new abilities!
• New equipment: 5 overboards showing coral reefs, 5 new starting fish cards, 75 new fish cards, 3 new success tiles, 90 coral tokens, 1 new success board.
• New mechanic, coral reefs: With the addition of reefs, divers will be able to pay various costs depending on the location of their dive in order to preserve the dysphotic zone by depositing Coral tokens there. These will allow you to place fish there that are more profitable in terms of victory points. With their double ability, one of which activates in the presence of a certain number of Coral tokens in the location, these fish will be able to trigger more combos. At the end of the game, Coral tokens earn 1 victory point and bonuses depending on the number of complete reefs and the location where these reefs are located. A simple addition to integrate but which completely transforms the way Finspan is played!
• New mechanics, sharks: Among the 75 new Fish cards are predators and super predators which will have the capacity to disperse schools of fish by scattering them in addition to juveniles. This will allow you to more easily complete new schools of fish in the surrounding area. Used well, sharks will allow you to create more schools or recover more juveniles to pay for powerful but expensive cards.
