Dionysia (French)

In this card game, write and compose a more successful play than your opponent’s to win the favour of the gods at this year’s Dionysia festival. Each round, you take a scene from the central deck and add it to your developing play; you must then decide whether to begin a new act (up to a maximum of three) or add the scene to the top or bottom of an existing act. Create specific scoring patterns from the dramatic elements through the thoughtful arrangement of your scenes, while making use of the powerful effects available on the key scene (the one placed at the top) of each act. Once each play consists of 3 acts of 3 scenes, players score points for each act based on its key scene and the corresponding pattern. The player with the most points wins the favour of the gods and the playwriting competition!
