DESCRIPTION
Orage d'Acier! Witness you the biggest tank battle in history! After their stinging defeat in Stalingrad, the Germans bring together their best forces for a total attack on the growing Soviet bulge in Kursk. The Soviet network of spy has heard of German plans, and they are ready to trap and decimate the best forces of Panzer that the Germans can bring together. Steel thunderstorms covers one of the largest tank battles in history. The German Panzer and Anti-Char equipment caught up with the Soviets, allowing the Germans to destroy most of the Soviet tanks at great distance. But the Soviets have attempt this advantage by producing a lot of tanks, which were launched on the Germans in order to overwhelm them.
Orage d'Acrier! is the second autonomous title of the successful series Conflict of Heroes. Each series games use the same basic rules system, so it's easy to go from one game to another! Conflict of Heroes is a tactical war game made up of commitments the size of a peloton, each pawn representing an infantry squad, a crew cannon or a vehicle. Commitments are presented as fights with different objectives. During a shooting, players use the units of their army to fight for these objectives, which are worth victory points (PV). The player who has the most PV at the end of the game wins.
The rules of steel storms are the same as those of the awakening of the bear, but the two games take place in a very different way. In Awakening the Bear, the Germans had to take the Soviet tanks by the sides and approach them if they wanted to have a chance to unravel the heavy shield of T-34 tanks. But in 1943, at the Battle of Koursk, most of the shields of Soviet tanks could be penetrated by the Germans at great distance. The roles are therefore reversed and the players must use very different tactics.
