DESCRIPTION
In the distant future, humans no longer live in earth. The cause of their disappearance (or perhaps their disappearance) is unknown, but their absence has left a vacuum ready to be filled by another sensitive species.
During countless generations, a species of the humble bee has evolved to fill this void. They grew up in size and intelligence to become a very advanced society. They are called Mellifera themselves, and they have made substantial technological progress in addition to the technology they have adapted from human ruins, to and including space trips.
In Apiary, each player controls 1 of the 20 unique factions. Your faction begins the game with a hive, some resources and workers bees. A hive creation challenge is waiting for you: explore the planets, collect resources, develop technologies and create sculptures to demonstrate the forces of your faction (measured in victory points) on the one year flow. However, the shortage approaches quickly, and your workers can only take a few measures - with advantages that increase in relation to the force of workers, culminating in powerful bonuses of force 4 - before they must hibernate!
If you like Teotihuacan, Honey Buzz, Tzolk’in and/or Euphoria, we are delighted that you play Apiary!
