Dice Realms, a new innovative turn on “dice customization”, is Tom Lehmann's latest game, designer of race for the Galaxy.
In Dice Realms, each player governs a small kingdom, represented by two customizable dice. Removable matrix faces allow strategic improvement in agriculture, mining, defense, upgrades, etc. Each round, the players simultaneously launch their dice to collect grain, victory points and pieces. Then they have to decide how to improve their matrix faces to improve their kingdoms. But players must be careful; Each tour, the fate die is rolled, and fate can be inconsistent.
