How to play?

Backstories is a game with mechanics that are as simple as they are revolutionary: a bit like you would do in a Point & Click video game, interact with your environment as you embark on your thrilling adventures. Some maps (Panorama) represent the environment in which you operate. Other cards (Actions) are perforated, and represent the actions you can perform (Speak, Search, Objects in your possession, etc.). To interact, simply place a punch card on the back of the Panorama card you are interested in, then turn the card over and read the outcome of your choice.

Be careful, though: in every scenario you go through, every choice you make will have real-world consequences... Be prepared for them!

In this scenario, you play as a former militiaman who left his violent past behind to take care of his family. But in this post-apocalyptic world, the past is quick to catch up with you...
