Chichén Itzá: Classic Edition (Multilingual)

As the sun sets over the great Mayan Empire, in the heart of Chichen Itza, beneath the great pyramids and temples, ancient seals that once linked mythical creatures have been broken. The gods and beasts of legend—serpents of the sky, jaguar spirits of the underworld, and other beasts of the universe—emerge from the forgotten realms to reclaim the mortal world. Their siege is relentless, their power immense, as they descend on the sacred city to consume its glory.

But the people of Chichen Itza will not go down without a fight. From sacred cenotes to ballfields, warriors, priests and heroes unite, summoning the ancient magic of the stars and the earth to liberate their city. Amidst the chaos, cunning leaders rise to rally their forces, while the fate of the crumbling empire hangs in the balance. Be careful, the gods are fickle, and mortals can turn on each other to gain their favor.

In this game of Strategy and survival, you must command your forces, harness the favor of the gods and fight the relentless tides of mythical beasts. Will you be able to recapture the glory of Chichen Itza and preserve the legacy of the Mayan Empire? Or will the city fall, consumed by creatures born of legend and darkness?

The siege begins. Only the bravest can decide the fate of Chichen Itza.

Gameplay

Chichén Itzá is played in 6 rounds. Players will venture out of temples to battle legendary creatures and reclaim villages, temples, camps, and ruins that have been taken.

In turn, players will each perform 4 actions via a unique action selection grid. With these actions, players:

Improve their board abilities related to melee, ranged attack, magic, and defense.
Send troops into the jungle.
Hire heroes to lead their troops, each with a unique ability.
Redistribute all their troops on the board.
Scout the jungle areas for information, resources and advantages.
Add to their supply of scrolls to strengthen their magical abilities.
Call on the gods and gain a unique special ability.
Climb the pyramid and move forward in order.
Prepare their forces for potential war against adversaries.
Move their forces through the jungle on land or water, battling creatures and claiming rewards.
Raise funds.

Players will score for defeated creatures, areas controlled, achievements completed, heroes, end-game god cards, crystals collected, and more. The player with the most points will be declared the winner, and the Chichén Itzá champion!
