DESCRIPTION
We are at the end of the 19th century and more than 9,000 windmills dotted the landscape of the Netherlands, some of them being specially built to dry out the lowlands, called polders. In the polders between these windmills are fields filled with colorful tulips, the flower which was once part of the hectic history of the first financial bubble, but which is now simply an essential part of the Dutch landscape, in particular on The famous Bloemen road (or "" flowers road ").
In Windmill Valley, a game inspired by the Bloemen road, you and up to three players embody tulip producers and entrepreneurs. You will build and improve your windmills, look for new tulip bulbs in foreign shops or from local sellers to buy and plant them, and try to get an advantage thanks to hired help and lucrative contracts . Let your flower fields make your competitors fade with envy!
During their turn, the players choose the action by turning the wheels on their windmill tray. During the game, they can:
- Improve their wheels, adding improvements to build their engine
- Plant tulips in their fields, which will bring PVs at the end of the game
- Building windmills on the main tray to activate the rewards of the adjacent fields
- Hire assistants who offer bonuses for certain actions
- Obtain contracts for the end of game score
- Visit the local market and do foreign trade
