WunderWfrien’s (“wonder weapons”) is set during the final year of World War II, when the Normandy landings paved the way for the occupation of Berlin and the defeat of the German army. Using simple rules, the game recreates the troubled collaboration between the Russian, British and American Allies in the final phase of the war.

The German military is near collapse, but inside its laboratories, scientists and technicians are designing terrible new weapons, the “WunderWmid,” in hopes of reversing a hopeless situation.

During the game, Allied players must carefully balance the urgency of quickly advancing toward Berlin with the need to limit German scientific research, while trying to help each other.

The German player will have to advance on the research track, at the same time trying to wage a desperate struggle against the Allied advance to delay the inevitable defeat as long as possible. The Germans could also win, despite losing Berlin, thanks to a scoring system that rewards the results of the forces on the ground.
