878 - The Vikings is the first opus in the Birth of Europe series, cousin of the Birth of America series (1775 The American Revolution, 1812 The Invasion of Canada, and soon 1754 the conquest). Its theme is the Viking invasions on the Anglo-Saxon coasts in the 9th century.
As usual, the game takes up 90% of the common rules while including differences that will allow you to create a new game experience. In 878 the Vikings, the camps are asymmetrical since the English camp begins the game with territories while the Viking camps will land on the island by vague invasion. Another change, the armies can be led by these lords. In this case, this army can fight in its movement just as it can deposit or recover units on its way.
