DESCRIPTION

In viticulture, the actors find themselves in the role of people in rustic and pre-modern Tuscany who inherited thin vineyards. They have a few plots of earth, an old crushpad, a small cellar, and three workers. They each dream of being the first to qualify their cellar as real success.

Players are able to determine how they want to distribute their workers throughout the year. Each season is different on a vineyard, so workers have different tasks that they can take care of summer and winter. There is competition on these tasks, and often the first worker to go to work has an advantage over the following workers.

Fortunately for players, people like to visit the cellars, and it turns out that many of these visitors are ready to help around the vineyard when they visit as long as you assign a worker to take care of them. Their visits (in the form of cards) are brief but can be very useful.

Using these workers and visitors, players can enlarge their vines by building structures, planting vines (vine cards) and filling up wine orders (wine control cards). The players work towards the objective of managing the most successful cellar in Tuscany.

Viticulture - Essential Edition is delivered with components for viticulture, but adds some of the expansions of Tuscany, including 36 Mama & Papa cards, Field cards (previously known as "Properties"), enlarged / revised visitors, and 24 Automa cards (solo variant), as well as some minor rules changes.
