DESCRIPTION

By the same authors as Savannah Park, Caldera Park is a collection and placement game for 1 to 4 players.

Welcome to the wilderness of North America! Breathtaking mountain views and spectacular geysers await you. Vast forests and meadows offer habitats to native animals.

Your task is to bring together animals of the same species in families as large as possible. But large families are only half of the battle: to score many points, they must also have access to water points and avoid bad weather.

A tour consists of two simple steps: first, a player chooses a characteristic (species or water point) and a field requirement from a limited selection. Then, each player must place one of his tokens representing this characteristic on one of his fleet spaces obeying this field requirement. What does not seem to be a problem at first becomes more and more difficult and exciting as available spaces are reduced. But the choices of other players are not the only ones who can disturb your plans. There are also unpredictable weather tokens that you need to take into account.

After five laps, the game ends. You then count your most precious family of each species and the land that you have fully populated.

Caldera Park is an interactive thinking game that reaches a perfect balance between strategic planning and luck. This, as well as its set of accessible rules, make it an excellent step next for all those who appreciated Savannah Park.
