Welcome to the Grimm forest, where the members of the Legendarian family three small pigs participate in an epic competition for building houses. But this is not an ordinary competition since all the most famous fairy tales will be present and will occasionally give a helping hand.
Who will take advantage of the Robin wood ruse, the beauty of Snow White, the generous gifts from the Golden Goose or the dark witchcraft of the wicked queen?
Using only their intelligence, a handful of sharp steel tools and a few piles of resources gathered at high risks in the fields, brickteries and even in the dark and deadly Grimm forest itself, each player must compete Be the first to build 3 houses and get the title of royal builder.
Players are encouraged to use any of the sneaky tips they have read in the many fable books found across the country. Some will see their plans destroyed by this villain of yesteryear, the big bad wolf, while others will win bricks, straw and wood by carts.
Who will brave the dangers, will avoid the repugnant monsters and will win the victory? There is only one way of knowing it ... Prepare to venture into ... the Grimm forest!
Grimm Forest is a strategic game for 2 to 4 hidden movement players, resource collection and house construction. It is an average weight game that is played in about 45 to 60 minutes.
During the game, players will play cards in secret to move to different location sets where they will try to collect resources. Using their deduction skills and a hand full of fable cards, players try to guess everyone's plans and make the most of their actions while disturbing the other player's plans.
Once the resources have been collected during the collection phase, players will enter a construction phase where they can use these resources to build wooden, straw or brick houses. Each time a player builds a wall section on one of his houses, a helpful friend of the neighboring forest comes to lend him a hand. Players can choose to accept the help of this friend, but it is sometimes more logical to send this friend to another player, sometimes defeating his current friend in the process.
With 16 unique fable cards and 12 powerful friendly cards, bringing together resources in the Grimm forest can be a difficult and stimulating business.
Work hard, deduce correctly, avoid betrayal of other manufacturers and the sharp teeth of the monsters that await you, and you may have your chance!
