 1289. King Philippe the Fair wants to have a new castle built in Caylus. The workers and the craftsmen flock to the charge, attracted by the great prospects of such a formidable task. Throughout the road that winds from the foot of the castle, a city rises slowly.

The players embody masters builders. By building the king's castle and developing the city at its foot, they earn points of prestige. When the castle is finished, the player who won the most prestigious points wins the game.
