DESCRIPTION

Gloomhaven: Buttons & Bugs is a solo game, with an original campaign story written by Isaac Childres, which presents a style of play similar to Gloomhaven in a fraction of the size.

Gloomhaven: Buttons & Bugs is defined after the events of Gloomhaven and Forgotten Circles. The Aesther Hail recluse has acquired the reputation of being very useful to save the city from recurring disasters, and it hates it absolutely. Aspirant heroes constantly burst into his studies at Croooked Bone, seeking help to become famous - not to mention all the demons who come by looking for revenge. She has briefly considered to move, but as it would require an effort, she simply placed an enchantment on her front door: whoever tries to open it becomes miniaturized and is therefore no longer a problem.

Your character is one of those heroes in the making. In a revealed attempt at glory, they try to visit Hail, and POOF. Now they are the size of a mouse and have entered a completely different field of anarchy and self-preservation. They must find a new way to enter the twisted bone to convince Hail to bring them back to their previous size.

Each scenario is only one card, opposing a mercenary and a handful of enemies with simplified actions and AI. Each mercenary has a hand of only four retrato -verso cards, but they can be used twice - in the front and back - before being thrown. Attacks are resolved using a dice in conjunction with a modification table, and table and mercenary capacity cards can be improved as you go up throughout the campaign.
