DESCRIPTION
Mexica traces the development of the city of Tenochtitlan on an island in Lac Texcoco. The players try to divide it into quarters, place buildings and build canals.
The districts are formed by fully surrounding water areas of the island, placing a district marker. The player who founds a district scores points immediately.
The canals and the Texcoco lake represent a quick method of moving throughout the city. The players erect bridges and move from one bridge to another, which costs 1 point of action whatever the distance. They must also erect buildings. It costs the action points, the exact number depending on the size of the building.
In the game rating phases, players score points (El Grande) according to their domination in a district. In the game to 4 players, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd players holding most buildings score a decreasing number of points.
Only the districts are noted in the first round.
In the second score round at the end of the game, all the field zones are marked, not only the districts.
The player who has the most points wins.
Mexica is the third game of the masks trilogy.
