DESCRIPTION
Charles IV was crowned king of Bohemia and sovereign of the Holy Roman Empire. From his Château de Prague, he oversees the construction of new fortifications: a bridge over the Vltava, a university and a cathedral which rises within the walls of the castle itself. Prague is already among the largest cities in Europe. King Charles will make it the capital of an empire!
In Praga Caput Regni, players play the role of wealthy citizens who organize various construction projects in the medieval Prague. By increasing their wealth and participating in the construction, they earn the favor of the king. Players choose from six actions on the game set - the "action crane" - which are always available, but which are weighted by a range of costly costs and advantages. By using these actions, you can increase your resources, improve the strength of your chosen actions, and build "New Prague City", the Charles bridge, or the city walls. You can possibly obtain additional actions or even participate in the construction of the St. Vitus cathedral.
Intelligent players will discover synergies between carefully timed actions and rewards for the construction of civic projects that all mechanisms overlap together. At the end of the game, the player who impressed the most King Charles wins.
