DESCRIPTION

Mégawatts is the French release of the Power Grid game by Friedemann Friese.

As with Power Grid, Megawatts’s goal is to provide electricity to most cities when someone’s network takes a predetermined size. In this new edition, players mark the pre -existing roads between cities for connection, then bid against each other to buy the power plants they use to feed their cities.

However, as factories are purchased, new more effective factories become available, so by simply buying, you potentially allow others to access superior equipment.

In addition, players must acquire the raw materials (coal, oil, waste and uranium) necessary to supply said central (with the exception of renewable 'renewable' wind power that requires no fuel), which makes it difficult to put At the level of your factories for maximum efficiency while keeping enough wealth to quickly extend your network to obtain the cheapest routes.

He differs from Power Grid by the cards included. When Power Grid has USA/Germany cards, the French version of Filosofia has Quebec/France maps.

The Quebec map uses minor changes to the rules that make greater use of renewable energy power plants to represent the regional reality of hydroelectricity.

The rules of rules include the basic game, as in Power Grid plus minor rules changes for the two cards included.
