DESCRIPTION
In 1958, Demiri Belyaev and Lyudmila Trut began an experience on domestication. Among a large group of foxes, they selected those who reacted to humans with more curiosity and less aggressiveness. At each generation, they only chose the most friendly puppies to become parents, hoping to recreate the process that led to domestication thousands of years ago. Experience has made amazing progress. Even if the foxes were chosen only for their kindness, they quickly started to acquire many of the physical features that we associate with pets - like stains, hanging ears and curly tails. As communication has opened, the foxes have greatly contributed to our understanding of how these features are expressed. The experience continues to date.
In The Fox Experiment, you will raise your own domestic foxes. With each turn, you will select a pair of parents of foxes who have certain features. You will gain these dice of specific lines, will launch them, then try to move them to make symbols of complete lines that you will then mark on your puppy card. You will then gain features tokens depending on the number of features you have marked and that you will use to improve the tracks on your personal player board.
At the end of the round, the previous generation of foxes will be eliminated and all the new little ones will be transferred to the Chenil - becoming candidates to be chosen as parents in the next round. The game ends after 5 laps and you will earn points for pleasant customers (end -of -game score bonus), finished studies (player's personal objectives), if you have earned the most friendly fox price, Upgrades on your personal player tray and additional tokens. The player with the most points wins!
