DESCRIPTION

You are at the head of a respected family domain but in difficulty in Victorian England in the mid -19th century. After several decades of lean cows, family fortunes are on the rise! Your goal is to improve your succession in order to be in better position with really influential families in the Derbyshire.

Obsession is a game of 16 to 20 laps in which the players build a bridge of the Victorian nobility (superior British social class), renovate their field by acquiring tiles for building a centralized manufacturers' market, and manipulate service staff Extended by the butler, the governs, the foremen, the good, the valets and the valets which use a new placement mechanic. Organizing prestigious social activities successfully such as Fox Hunts, Music Recitals, Billiards, Political Debates and Grand Balls increases the richness, reputation and connections of a player among the elite.

Each round, the players choose a building tile representing a room or an outdoor space in and around their 19th century British country house. The chosen tile dictates the event that can be organized and guests to be invited. However, players must plan carefully to have the appropriate staff available to serve the event and support guests if necessary. Success is rewarded with new investment possibilities, which make it possible to renovate the field more (acquisition of more precious/more powerful construction tiles), an increased reputation in the county, an increasing circle of influential knowledge, and a greater well -trained staff.

Throughout the game, a competition at the Court for the hand of the youngest man and the most renowned lady in the county presents specific objectives of renovation and reputation. The player who best meets these goals while accumulating victory points will win the hand of rich interest and the game.
