DESCRIPTION

The Scout is a climbing game in which the cards have two potential values, players cannot reorganize their card hand, and players can pass their turn to take a card from the current set of the highest cards of their hand.

More specifically, the cards are double-indexed, with different values on each half of the card, with the 45 cards with all the possible combinations of the 1-10 figures. During the configuration, the person who moves the cards must randomize the order of the cards in the game and their orientation. Once each player has received his whole card hand, they pick up this hand without reorganizing any of the cards; If they wish, they can turn all their card hand in order to use the values at the other end of each card, but they cannot reorganize the order of the cards in their hand.

During a round, a player has the choice between two actions:

  • Game: A player chooses one or more adjacent cards in his hand which all have the same value or who have values in consecutive order (ascendant or descending), then they play this set of cards at the table. They can only do it if the table is empty (as in the first round) or if the whole they play is classified higher than the whole currently on the table; A set is higher if it has more cards or has cards of the same value instead of consecutive cards or has a set of the same quantity and the type, but with higher values. In the latter case, when a player overlaps another game, the player captures the cards of this previous game and places them face down in front of themselves.
  • Scout: A player takes a card on each side of the whole currently on the table and places it anywhere in his hand in the orientation. The one who played this previous set receives a 1 VP token as a reward for playing a set that was not beaten.

Once per turn, a player can detect, then play immediately.

When a player has emptied his card hand or all except one player scoured instead of playing, the turn ends. The players receive 1 point of victory for each card facing downwards, then subtract a point for each card in their hand (unless they were the scout player several times to end the game). Play as many laps as the number of players, then the one who has the most points wins!
